BMS-564929
Muscle Growth & Body CompositionAlso known as: BMS564929
Mechanism
BMS-564929 is a non-steroidal SARM developed by Bristol-Myers Squibb with exceptionally high androgen receptor affinity. It was designed for male hormone replacement with selectivity for muscle over prostate, but development did not progress beyond early clinical evaluation.
Technical detail
BMS-564929 is a non-steroidal SARM with extremely high AR binding affinity (Ki ~0.8 nM), among the highest reported for any SARM. It demonstrates potent anabolic activity in the levator ani with favorable selectivity over prostate and seminal vesicles in castrated rat models. Its high AR affinity allows efficacy at very low doses. It was evaluated for age-related functional decline (andropause) but did not advance significantly in clinical development.
