PEPTIDE-CLASS SPECIFIC SIDE EFFECTS: GLP-1 AGONISTS (Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, Retatrutide): Nausea (40-50% initially), vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, decreased appetite (desired effect), injection site reactions. Manage by starting at lowest dose and titrating slowly (every 4 weeks). Most GI symptoms resolve within 2-4 weeks at each dose level. Rare but serious: pancreatitis (severe abdominal pain radiating to back — seek emergency care), gallbladder disease. GH SECRETAGOGUES (Ipamorelin, CJC-1295, MK-677, GHRP-2/6): Water retention/edema (dose-dependent), carpal tunnel symptoms (tingling/numbness in hands — reduce dose), joint stiffness, increased appetite (especially GHRP-6 and MK-677), transient blood glucose elevation. Most resolve with dose adjustment. HEALING PEPTIDES (BPC-157, TB-500): Generally very well-tolerated. Occasional lightheadedness, fatigue, or GI discomfort. Extremely rare serious side effects. MELANOCORTIN PEPTIDES (PT-141, MT-2): Facial flushing, nausea (especially MT-2), darkening of moles and freckles (MT-2, irreversible), spontaneous erections (PT-141), increased blood pressure (transient). NOOTROPIC PEPTIDES (Semax, Selank, Adamax): Generally well-tolerated. Occasional headache, nasal irritation (intranasal route), irritability at higher doses. BIOREGULATORS (Khavinson Peptides): Extremely well-tolerated based on 40+ years of clinical use. Side effects are rare and typically mild.

Common Side Effects & What to Watch For
💡 Tips
WHEN TO STOP AND SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION: (1) Signs of allergic reaction — hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of face/throat (anaphylaxis — call 911). (2) Severe abdominal pain (pancreatitis risk with GLP-1s). (3) Rapid heart rate or chest pain. (4) Signs of injection site infection (see sterile technique guide). (5) Persistent severe nausea/vomiting preventing hydration. (6) Vision changes with any peptide. GENERAL RULE: Start low, go slow. Most side effects are dose-dependent and can be managed by reducing the dose or slowing the titration. Your body often adapts within 1-2 weeks at a given dose.
